Without my supplies..

Hello !.. hope you all are doing great! So here I am in Mumbai miles away from home and without any of my craft supplies, even basic tools like a paper trimmer and there is so much creativity and inspiration flowing like a mighty river in Blogland. I so was feeling left out of all the fun. I couldn't help myself and went right ahead..bought some papers and punches online and sat down to create after ages!So much has been happening in the Indian card making scene, so many new crafters.. so many new challenges..it's so exciting and terribly difficult to stay away..
I created this card for the following challenges
http://crafterscornerindia.blogspot.in -celebrate with flowers
http://cardabilities.blogspot.com -sketch

CardPatterns sketch 62

Hi dear friends! After creative lethargy for almost a week I finally got down to making this card thanks to lots of inspiration from Card Patterns ..I loved the sketch and immediately felt like making a vintage card after browsing a few cards by their amazing design team. All the stuff put on this card is from an absolutely wonderful crafts store in Nagpur city.I had visited the city on route to Pench Tiger reserve. The place has everything from textured papers to beautiful laces..beads and handmade flowers. It's called Darpan and pretty famous in Nagpur. The sentiment is from Landmark, Banjara Hills.

CardPatterns sketch 54

Here is my take on CardPatterns sketch 54. This is my first time creating a card based on a sketch. In fact i am quite new to this concept I never knew these things existed until I stumbled upon Archana's blog..from where I came to know of quite a lot of new things..and realised how utterly unsavvy I was , so thanks Archana..your blog rocks!

Hope you like the card.. It has paper punched flowers and leaves and the bird and tree is hand cut no stamps or punches used. The sentiment is handwritten.

Glass painting / Glass painted card

I made this card by doing glass painting on an acetate sheet. These glass colors are solvent bases and were from hobby ideas (their black liner is really good). I pasted the piece of acetate in the window of a card from a card-making set that was also bought from hobby ideas. The corner stamps and ink was from hobby ideas too.

Quilled card,Quilled greeting card

Made this quilled card inspired by the balloon flower. I took an idea from zavitoc.blogspot.com to make the flowers. This is was my first attempt at making larger flowers. The loose coil type of quilling proved more difficult than it seems. After I finished quilling I took a look at a few youtube videos for learning the proper technique.

A video of quilling project by crafts beautiful on youtube helped clear a few doubts.
